For the purpose of promoting the health, safety, morals, convenience, order, prosperity or welfare of the present and future inhabitants of the City of Jesup and the State of Georgia, including amongst other things: Lessening congestion in the streets and roads; securing safety from fire and other dangers; providing adequate light and air; promoting such distribution of population and such classification of land uses and distribution of land development and utilization as will tend to facilitate and conserve adequate facilities of transportation, water supply, drainage, sanitation, educational opportunity and recreation; and for other purposes, the city commission of the City of Jesup, Georgia, does hereby ordain and enact into law the following articles and sections: |
