§ 1202. Lot sizes.

  • Residential lots shall meet the lot width and lot area requirements of the zoning ordinance.

    Residential lots shall have a depth of not less than 100 feet and not greater than two times the width of the lot at the building line, unless unusual circumstances make these limitations not practicable.

    Where individual septic tanks are used on residential lots served by an approved central water system, the lot size shall be no less than 12,000 square feet, and residential lots not served by an approved central water system shall be no less than 18,000 square feet in area or such greater area as the Wayne County Health Department may determine based upon boring for ground water level, soil data and soil percolation test, submitted for review.

    Commercial and industrial lots shall be adequate width to meet building setback requirements from both abutting streets.
